First Sight: Tanya and Embry

Embry didn't think that it was possible for him to refuse her when she smiled like that, and he felt his lips curve into a smile.

"If you'll forgive me, then I won't be," he said. His eyes met hers suddenly, and the breath nearly went out of him. Somehow, though, he kept his cool. "I still can't believe that I missed seeing you when you were here."

Tanya sat up so that she faced him, his hand sliding down as did so, but still touching.

"Well I am glad I have met you now Embry....." she tilted her head looking at him, noticing the fine ripple of muscles in slight athletic frame, the welcoming smile, the eyes so bright. She gave her self a little mental shake.

She smiled, "Your rather cute" she teased.

Embry let out another bark of laughter as her teasing, his fingers tracing down her arm. He tried to ignore the fact that his fingers were getting close to one of her boobs, but he wasn't succeeding.

"Thanks, Tanya. So you are," he said, pushing himself up on one elbow.

Tanya looked at him her breath catching in her throat as he came closer and the heat of his fingers trailed down her arm.

What was wrong with her. She shook herself mentally trying to clear her head.

Pretending to pout, she looked at him through half open eyes, "Only rather cute...."

He could have sworn that he heard her breath catch when he touched her, and he knew that that was a good sign. It was what girls did when he was getting to them in the best way anyone could be gotten too, and the sound only heightened his excitement.

"Well, you are stunning actually," he said with a chuckle, "but if all you're going to give me is rather, I figure that I shouldn't flatter you too much." His fingers trailed to the inside of her arm as he spoke, wanting to see what she'd do as his fingers "accidentally" got closer to her chest.

Tanya's pout changed into a deep smile at the sound of his laughter, she liked it. The heat of his fingers moved leaving a trail as they went moved to the inside of her arm, venturing lower.

Perhaps wolfs where not that different from men after all. He was defiantly attracted to her. She let his hand go lower, she would not stop him. Lets see how adventurous and daring he could be.

She lifted her head and looked up at him, " Perhaps I only said rather so that YOU don't get a big head."

Laughing a little tingle of a laugh...

Embry laughed again. Every time, she seemed to make him laugh more. She really was fun.

"So, you're just trying to keep from from getting too big an ego, is that it?" he asked, still laughing. He moved closer to her, and he realized as he touched her cool skin that the heat from his body was beginning to warm her.

Tanya loved his deep laugh, he seemed to be comfortable with her. She was certain now that he was attracted to her yes but there was more. Was it possible he liked her. Most men where attracted to her beauty she was use to this but rarely did it ever go beyond physical attraction.

She was unsure of what to do, worried not just for him but for herself, because she like him a bit too much. Perhaps it would be best to leave and then he moved closer. There bodies just touching. Any thought of doing anything but staying disappeared from her mind.

Her skin warming at the nearness of him, she wondered what his touch would be like on her naked flash.

She shook her head, this time not just mentally, to get her head clear. What was she thinking!! He was a wolf, she was a vampire.....

Calming her breathing she looked at him, "Mmm perhaps I'm too late." she teased.

As he looked at her, Embry realized that she was feeling something too. She had to be. If she hadn't been, she would've definitely pulled away. No vampire would get that close to a werewolf unless she were feeling some kind of attraction.

Or maybe I'm just hoping too much, he thought, his heart sinking again. He was still a werewolf, and she was still a vampire. How much could he really get?

Then she spoke again, and he grinned. That voice just kept making his day.

"Maybe," he said with a laugh. "Do I need to deflate your ego any?"

Tanya looked at him and smiled coyly, " My ego is just fine thank you, if it is a bit big, it's with good reason..." running her hands down her thighs, smoothing her skirt.

Tilting her head and her eyes dancing merrily with laughter, she was just going to see where this was going and deal with consequences later.

Embry laughed again, his eyes trailing down her body, taking in the sight. He wouldn't pretend that he didn't want her. What was the point when she obviously already knew?

"It is with good reason," he agreed, putting an arm around her so that his hand rested on the small of her back.

The feel of his hand on her back, felt like a bolt of heat that rushed through her body. She could not help herself but she arched at his touch.

Tanya smiled not trying to look like any of this bothered her, "Thank you, if I could blush I would."

Playing with the end of her skirt, feeling..... was she nervous?? She swallowed, trying to calm herself.

"You're welcome," Embry said, smiling at her again. His eyes trailed down to her hands again, and he noticed that she was fiddling with her skirt.

Is she nervous? he wondered. The idea didn't even seem possible. Tanya didn't seem like the type of woman who ever got nervous or unsure of herself.

And if she didn't like me touching her, she'd just push me away, he reasoned. At least, he hoped that she would.

"I doubt that you'd blush though," he added.

Tanya laughed, throwing her head back so that her hair fell back further down her back and brushed Embry's hand.

" And why would that be" She turned her face to look at him, smiling. The feel of him so close, his heat made her flushed with a warm heat and it was nice, but it was not only the temperature of his skin that got to her.

SHe sighed, how could this end well?? Yet she didn't care.

"Because I don't think you could ever be nervous," he said. She was so close now, even more than she had been before, and she wasn't pulling away. The sight of her full lips and her bright eyes so close to his face was pulling him in closer, and he wanted to kiss her. Had she been anyone else, he would have just done it, but he was more scared of being rejected than he'd ever been before.

And then she's a vampire, he thought, but somehow that didn't seem to matter anymore. I need to do something too. With that thought, he leaned in slowly to kiss her, giving her plenty of time to pull away. That way, he could save face if he needed to.

Tanya looked up at him and studied his face. He wanted her. She was not sure if he would act or not, perhaps he would not let himself give into his attraction. Was it fear of rejection or that despite wanting her he would not do so because of what she was??

She couldn't wait any longer, what was the worse that could happen?? He pulled away and said no??

Tanya leaned in closer just as he did the same. There lips just touching, it was like fire...

Her lips should have felt like ice, should have felt wrong, but they only lit a fire in Embry when they touched his. They should have felt hard, but they were softer than any lips he could remember kissing.

He couldn't remember much, though, when he was kissing Tanya. It felt better than anything he'd ever felt before, and he didn't want to think of anything else but the rhythm and feel of their lips moving together.

His free arm wrapped around her shoulders, and he twined his fingers in her hair as he pulled her closer. His lips pressed harder, more aggressively against hers, but the contact was still tentative.

Tanya moved closer to him, his hands in her hair urging her closer. His lips where like satin, so soft and warm. A heat that radiated and it warmed her with a fire that she had never felt before.

She sighed and her tongue traced the shape of his luscious lips, wanting more of him but waiting to see if he did too.
