Bringing Anna Home - tag Anna and Carlisle

Anna was runnign at full speed, she seemed to have more energy reserves than she thought, combined with adrenaline and exhileration at running again made her unbelievably fast. Her leg was burning with pain tho and she would not be able to run at this pace much longer.
She let her senses be completely controlled by her animal side. Her sight, her sense of smell, her hearing 10 times more accute than they were normally.
She could hear all the animals around her, and could avoid danger easily.
She guessed that she would not have long to get her headstart so she started weaving and cross her own path to tryu and confuse the scent she wass giving off.
Now she n=knew there were vampires about she also did not want to be caught by a hostile one.
Then the rain started, slowing her down, she hated rain. And thnder, and lightning whic also began to criss cross the sky above her head.
A crash of thunder slammed over head and she whimpered in panic. The sky wass darkening more and more and the rain drops were more like golf balls making the forest flor treacherous under her large paws. Thankfully pantehrs were waterproof.

Carlisle traced her scent, running at full speed, the clothes tucked under his arms. The heavens opened and rain poured down on him, his feet travelled so lightly across the ground that the slippery surface made no difference to him.

Lightening struck a tree just in front of him and the clouds rolled together releasing a thunderous sound, he stopped dead in his tracks, panicking for Anna's wellbeing, he knew she had issues with the dark and made the assumption that storms were not much better for her.

He raced on again, going round in circles, she had been clever enough to mix up her trail, making it harder for anyone to track her, he paused, considering what to do, he needed to find her, talk to her, reassure her and bring her home.

Anna howled loudly as another ligtening bolt struck a tree in front of her. She hadnt got much furtehr when she dived into a bush and covered her head in her large paws. Whimpering at the impending doom that she felt wahs over her.

Another clap of thunder crashed above her. "this was so not such a good idea" she thought in her head.

Carlisle heard a loud howl to his left and raced off, follwing the scent he had picked up.

He reached a clearing, the scent had faded, he looked around, Anna had to be close by he could just make out her heart beat.

"Anna?" He called out, the wind howling around him, quietening his voice. "It's Carlisle." He shouted again.

Anna heard his footsteps before she heard him shouting. SHe could barely make it out over the sound of the storm. she was completely drenched now and shivering from the cold. But there was no way she wass going back to carry on ruining their happy family. So she slowed down her breathing till it was barely audible even to her and stayed as quiet as she could hidden in the bush.

"Anna, please?" He called out, his eyes scanning the area for her. "I know you're here, let me help you." He begged. "We can just talk, you don't have to make any decisions yet."

He took a step closer to the bush, not knowing she was hidden inside of it. "I have clothes for you."

Anna growled a warning from within her bush. She didnt want to reveal erself but she just wanted to be left alone, he wasabout to step on her.

He smiled and sat down next to the bush. "I'm not leaving until we've talked, and I'm going to stay here until the storm is over." He said as another large clap of thunder sounded overhead. "You need the company through it."

Anna crawled out of the bush, still in her furrier form and lay on the ground next to carlisles feet, the tears still streaming down her face. She rested her head on his legs. she didnt like feeling so needy. She had become so independent it made her feel weak and useless. Another bolt of ightning flashed over them and she jumped.

Carlisle stroked her fur lovingly, feeling as though his daughter was lying in his lap, needing comfort.

"Why don't you transform back and changed into these clothes?" He whispered to her. "Then I can hold you properly."

Anna crawled back into the bush, reluctant to leave Dr Cullen then quickly and quietly reaching out a hand for the pile of clothes he had bought with him. he handed them to her and she quickly put them on, being carfeul not to brush the scratches on her face.
She was still crying when she crawled out the the bush. and straight into Carlisles arms.

He pulled her straight to his body, rocking her gently like you would to soothe a baby. "Shhh," He whispered, kissing her hair. "You're safe."

Anna felt at home in his arms. Like she ouwld a real fathers. She had had 2 fathers, one who didnt acknowldeg her other than to beat her and one who was now gone. She had never had this. But she couldnt keep it it was not fair on his family. She had to give it up, all of it.
"I cant go back, its not right, i am destroying your family. Everything i touch falls apart."

"That's not true, we're always like this... A massive upheavel then we all settel down and go back to loving each other." He smiled as he continued to rock her in his arms. "We're a large family, fall outs are unavoidable."

Anna looked up at Dr Cullen doubtfully "riiiight...... so Jasper and ALice always have fights over him having feelings for another woman....... and JAcob always causes fights and tries to beat up girls? And Edward and Bella are always this unsettled... and Nessie frequently sees into other peoples nightmares making her feel ill? .....I didnt think so. I told you im not coming back, not when he has finally found happiness and a family who love him. I am not destroying that, my soul should have died when my body did the first time." She pushed Dr Cullen away from her and started walking away. The rain was now easing to a dull drizzle and the thunder and lightening were getting further away. "You can go now Dr Cullen, the storm as stopped."

He followed after her, not done talking with her yet.

"Firstly, no Jasper and Alice don't fight all the time and never about another woman but they do fight as all married couples do. Secondly, yes Jacob always starts fights and as for him attacking women I believe he attacked Bella before but I can't comment too much on him because he is adog and I don't really know much about how his mind works. Thirdly... Was there a thirdly? Oh yes, Bella and Edward are always unsettled, they're pretty neurotic. Next, Renesmee, is a learning curve for all of us, if she wasn't having your nightmares it would have been someone elses. Your soul would have moved on with your body if it was meant to, I believe there is a reason why Rachael is a part of you and why you came here to us, to Jasper." He took a deep breath before continuing. "If you care anything at all for Jasper, you won't leave, you don't realise how much you will be hurting him." He was sorry for shouting and lecturing her, but he thought she was acting like a child, running away from her problems.

Anna knew he was trying to convince her, he almost did. And she was sorry for what she was about to do but she thought she knew best, she was not about to inflict her inability to have a happy family onto other people. "im sorry" she whispered almost inaudibly. Then she leapt foward and as she changed ahe ran in a blurr out of Carlisles view. Not turning to look back this time.

Carlisle sighed and picked up the tattered clothes, she would come home eventually. He was sure of it, well he hoped she would.

He stayed in the woods for a while, listening to the sounds of Anna move farther away then slowly made his way back home.

As Anna ran she could feel her energy depleting, she ad nothing left.
She changed back as she ran and carried on for a few hundred meters befpre falling to the ground in tears. She had given every she had ever wanted up.

She lay like that for what seemed like hours as the warm drizzle soaked her.
she heard a rustling noise coming from in front of her, she thought it was just a bird.

The shadow watched the naked girl, mesmerised by her naked beauty. The scent that was oddly human but not at the same time. It would be a shame to have to kill such a vision and being alone for so long perhaps a companion would be nice or at least a bit of fun would be nice but no the hunger was too great. Slowly the shadow moved forward, revealing a woman. She looked out of place, out of time, standing there in a long blue flowing gown with bright blue hair. A smile on her thin lips.

Anna looked up when she realised that the rustling had turned into footsteps. in front of her stood a stunning woman like something out of a fiction novel, wearing a flowing white gown. She had the sam place face and dark shadows under her eyes as the cullens, but unlike theirs her eyes were a deep blakc-red. Not like the Cullens. Oh dear. did she have the energy to fight? Did she even have the energy left in her to get up off the cold damp floor of the forest?
"please........"

The woman stopped at the sound of her pleading. The creature was weak and it would be quick and easy to have this prey but what fun would that be?? After months of being alone a bit of fun would be nice. She licked her lips and came closer, revealing a dagger in her long sleeve.

Anna grimaced as she saw the glint of silver that could only mean a knife - since when did vampires use knives? This could only be bad, very very bad. The adrenaline started pumping through her veins and she could feel the energy inside her trickle through begging her to set it free. She needed to move and now, do anything, anything at all..
"get up, just get up" she begged to herself, bending he legs under her and putting her hands out trying to push herslef off the ground.

The beautiful creature was trying to get up but she was too weak. In the whisper of breath the blue shadow was on top of Anna, pinning her to ground. "Hush little One, Serena is bored and you are the perfect toy" A horrible smile spread over her face and she took the dagger and traced it along the creatures face.

Anna could feel herself being crushed by the vampires weight ontop of her. he never had the chance to get up, the vampire was too fast. Much too fast. Anna knew she needed to act now or it would all be over for her.
Then she felt the knife being dragged accross her face, piercing her skin. She could barely even feel it. She couldt feel anythign anymore, her spine and legs were being crushed.
