Hunting Tag: Brandon and Kate

Kate was relieved that Brandon wanted to hunt, she was starving. She knew that if she looked in a mirror her eyes would be pitch black.
Kate took Brandon's hand as they began to run through the woods, searching for a likely scent. She was grateful not to be hunting alone, as well, though she found it a little bit different after so long.

'I'm glad you learned to be veggie,' Kate smiled, teasing slightly. 'Otherwise you might have had some problems here...not so much human wildlife.'

Brandon smiled. "It's thanks to you that I did... You told me it would help with Alice and to be honest I'm do glad. The thought of feeding off o a human again makes me feel physically sick."

He had noticed the shade of her eyes which is why he had suggested hunting, even though he didn't really have the need to.

Kate nodded. 'This veggie stuff has enabled me to keep realising that humans aren't just yummy things to eat!'
Looking at Brandon's amber-coloured eyes she realised he wasn't really hungry, but was going to hunt for her sake. Another indicator of how nothing missed his careful eyes.

A breeze from the north alerted her to a herd of deer eating grass by a bubbling river in a clearing.

'Race you!' she let go of her hands and speeded towards the grazing animals.

Brandon laughed at Kates child like attitude, he hung back for a moment as she ran on, always the gentleman as he gave her a head start before lazily runnin after her.

Brandon was fast and strong he could have beaten her easily, even with the head start, but he was feeling generous.

Kate scowled as she saw Brandon's lazy run - and even going at that pace he soon caught up with her. She'd have thought that all the roaming she'd done would have made her pick up the pace a little, but obviously not...she was still Little Miss Slow.

Kate passed noiselessly through the clearing and headed for the biggest buck. Now. Hunting. She'd had lots of practice at that, and as a result it was much better than her running. She couldn't help showing off a little as she flew through the air and snapped the deer's spinal cord in a matter of seconds. She dipped down and plunged her teeth into its neck.
One thing about Kate - she didn't care what vamp saw her feeding. She wasn't who you would call prissy, though living in a domestic situation had tamed her quite a bit over the years.
